How We Write Our Guides
Every guide on this site is researched from primary sources: the NDIA's own pages on assessments and evidence, the NDIS Pricing Schedule and pricing arrangements, NDIA guidelines and Ahpra. We link to the sources on each page, show the date it was last checked, and correct mistakes quickly.
The Sources We Use
- The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), including its pages on functional capacity assessments, supporting evidence, home and living, assistive technology and changing your plan
- The NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27 and the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits
- NDIA guidelines, such as Our Guideline on specialist disability accommodation
- Ahpra, for practitioner registration
We don't rely on practices' blogs or forum posts for facts. If we can't confirm something in a primary source, we leave it out. That's why you won't find typical prices for a whole FCA or report turnaround times here: there's no official source for them.
How We Keep Guides up to Date
NDIS price limits are set each financial year and can change mid-year, as they did on 24 September 2026. The NDIA is also introducing support needs assessments from April 2027. Each page shows when it was last checked, and we check again when the NDIA publishes new pricing or guidance.
Our Independence
Practices pay us for introductions. They don't write our guides, pay to be mentioned in them, or see them before they're published. Our guides are general information, not clinical advice or advice about your plan.
Found a Mistake?
Please tell us. Email hello@functionalcapacityassessment.com.au with the page and what needs fixing. We'll check it against the source and update the page. You can also read about us and how the service works.
